ON Power is a subsidiary of Reykjavik Energy and operates two geothermal power plants in SW-Iceland. ON Power became a consortium partner in 2020. The GeConnect project was granted access to ON Power’s facilities at Hverahlíð where the surface demonstration was conducted, confirming the function of the novel Flexible Coupling at operational conditions. Well HE-61 was used to provide steam to the experimental setup at stable wellhead pressure of 57.8 bar-g (saturation temperature of 273°C) throughout the period of the experiment.
